Blog Assignment due Tues 3/3/09

Today, we discussed the politics articles in Mauk & Metz as well as more specifics about writing, rhetorical strategies, evidence and thesis statements. For Tuesday, you will begin working on a pre-draft of this particular topic. Since we discussed various points of view on Tuesday, you should have formed some opinion about the impact of the California Budget cuts.

For Tuesday, by 12pm, post the following to your blog:

• Prepare a thesis statement and a rough outline.
• Your outline should be roman numerals or in bullet points.
• Put the thesis at the top of the page.
• For evidence, use your interview, authoritative source and 1 article from theMauk & Metz readings.

Because we don't have access to the Clark classroom until Thursday, bring your outline and thesis printed on Tuesday.

ALSO, please read pages 3-37 in Mauk & Metz. Bring this textbook with you on Tuesday.
